You could also use the Text tool to write ' Champion' on their base. Command groups: some people give command models a colour tint or give their bases a colour tint (right click on the model/base and you'll find it). Getting enough models: simply copy and paste your Citizen Spearman until you have enough.Ĥ. Again, this may just be me being mediocre with computers but it seems easier to turn it off.ģ. Select all the models, right-click, Toggles->Snap then Toggles->Grid (so they're both unticked).

I can't figure out a simple way to work with this with trays, etc, so I ALWAYS turn it off. Important Note: models you find will usually be set to snap to a grid. Whichever way you feel, I won't love you any less. What you do is up to you: there are models out there for most armies and almost all of their units but how you feel about that is personal to you. I have my opinions but here I'm going to play it safe. Finding models: this bit I leave up to you as I'm being careful to skirt around the tricky areas of Intellectual Property. However, my understanding is that this doesn't really help for 9th Age because you still have to rank up, make trays, etc., yourself.Ģ. I gather that exported BattleScribe lists can be assigned virtual models and quantities. (Or it's because lockdown and, frankly, some days I don't communicate.)ġ. If you ask a question below and I ignore it, it's probably because it's been explained in the tutorial you didn't watch. What it does do is give you the basics of: (In fact: getting to grips with TTS has already got me more excited about playing DE and directly caused me to buy more actual minis!) I couldn't care less if you agree or disagree with this POV: this thread is simply for 'how to get 9th Age working in TTS', therefore how you get your virtual minis is up to you and if you're not comfortable with this subject, read no further.ĭon't worry that it's nominally about 40k, it doesn't go much into 40k specifics. My disclaimer is that I only use virtual models of minis that I have already bought IRL, therefore I'm not bypassing giving money to model makers. Also, if you're a Luddite like me, this thread is for you.Ģ) This is not the place for an argument about the morality of using virtual models not endorsed by IP owners.
#Warhammer 40k tabletop simulator mod update
So please, consider me a Luddite groping around software, and if you know a better way, chime in and I'll update this original post. I've either borrowed or figured out workarounds so that I can play 9th Age in TTS without too much headache but that's not to say that others won't discover better ways of doing it. Computers sometimes baffle me and I've no idea what 'coding' is. I've managed to get armies built and games working, so I thought I'd start a thread in case anyone else is itching to scratch their lockdown 9th Age itch.ġ) I am not remotely tech-savvy! I'm a composer/ musician by trade: I understand time durations, relationships between musical materials and structure, phrasing, and archaic things made of wood. Someone asked elsewhere about getting started playing 9th Age in Tabletop Simulator ('TTS').
